This was the first comprehensive exhibition about Latino history and culture. It was organized and hosted by the Rhode Island Foundation.
“Conexiones, the History and Life of Latinos in Rhode Island” at the Rhode Island Foundation Gallery in Providence, Rhode Island, is an exhibition that shows the way in which Latinos see art as an integral part of life in order to broaden the understanding by the community-at-large of the Latino identity in Rhode Island, and the contributions that this ethnic group has had to building this state.
It was organized by Anna Cano-Morales, Inés Merchan, Astrid Toledo-Morales and co-curated by Marta V. Martínez, and Anne Rocheleau.
