Blanca and Dario Herrera
These images of are Dario and Blanca Herrera in the 1950s. The Herreras are among the first Argentinians recorded in Rhode Island. Dario came to Providence for an internship at St. Joseph Hospital and he became a well-respected cardiologist until his death in 2004. He was the original founder the Newport Marathon in the 1990s.
Dr. Dario and Blanca Herrera are among the first known Argentinians in Rhode Island.
