Ana Cabrera, born in Cuba, was in the Class of 1970 and among the first women to graduate after the Providence College accepted women. She was editor of Veritas, the yearbook of Providence College (1970).
In 1975, Ana became was the first person of Hispanic heritage and first Latina to work in mainstream television in Rhode Island.

Adriana was born Puerto Rico and grew up in San Juan where she attended a bilingual school, which is part of the reason I became so passionate about bilingual storytelling. She moved to Amherst, Mass. in 2018 after Hurricane María to finish her undergraduate degree at UMass. It was her first time living outside the island.
